Morrison try in vain as Rangers falter at home

SO CLOSE . . . Rangers' Ethan Langhorn falls just short of the try line
IT is now four losses in a row for Saddleworth Rangers, who went down 13-6 to second-placed East Leeds in Division Two.
Craig Farrimond's side did not manage to get on the score sheet in the first half at Shaw Hall Bank Road, the visitors establishing an 8-0 advantage thanks to a try by Jacob Walton in the 25th minute that was followed up by a Tom Sheldrake conversion and then a penalty five minutes later.
Anthony Morrison hit back for Rangers four minutes into the second half to give the hosts a foothold, with Ben Whitehead adding the goal. But Sheldrake's boot eased East Leeds further in front. He kicked two penalties either side of the hour mark and also added a drop goal in the 66th minute to leave a seven-point gap that was beyond the Greenfield side's means.
