Hughes adds to backroom team

MANCHESTER City manager Mark Hughes has beefed up his backroom team with the capture of two more members of the coaching staff from former club Blackburn Rovers.
Hughes, who had already taken No 2 Mark Bowen from Ewood Park, has named Eddie Niedzwiecki as first-team coach and Kevin Hitchcock as goalkeeping coach.
They were former team-mates of Hughes at Chelsea and joined his off-the-field team at Blackburn when he was appointed manager in 2004.
They replace reserve-team manager Ian Millar and goalkeeping coach Eric Steele who have left the club along with conditioning coach Stefane Marrone.
SIR Alex Ferguson has hinted he is only likely to make one summer signing as Manchester United prepare for the defence of their Premier League and Champions League crowns.
The Reds’ manager also believes 33-year-old Gary Neville can reclaim his first-team place after missing the whole of last season through injury.
