Century attracts top field

RACING cyclists from across the North of England are expected to come to the Oldham area this weekend as the Oldham Century Road Club stage their annual BTN Conveyors Summer Road Race.
Around 60 of the best riders are down to tackle the 65-mile race which takes place over three laps of the challenging Denshaw to Ripponden circuit, and includes the tough climbs of Buckstones Moss and Saddleworth Moor.
The race is due to start at 10.30am from the Castleshaw Centre in Delph, with the riders expected to reach the finish near Grains Bar around 1pm.
