Roytonians get back on track

ROYTONIANS are back on track in their quest for promotion from division two of the Site Electrical North Manchester League.
With Matty Hall and Russ Billing wreaking havoc with the ball, they swept aside Littleborough thirds by an eight-wicket margin.
The pair took five for 24 and four for 19 respectively to send their opponents spiralling to 53 all out.
Hall capped a fine game by smashing an unbeaten 47 as Roytonians cruised home.
Next up for Roytonians is a home fixture against runaway leaders Rochdalians on Saturday.
Failsworth Macedonia won the borough derby in division one, overhauling Springhead’s total of 223 with two wickets to spare.
Saddleworth thirds are going well in division three.
They are up to fourth in the table after a comprehensive nine-wicket win over title rivals East Lancs PM seconds, who were dismissed for 83.
And Greenfield thirds, who sit just behind their neighbours in fifth, edged out their Roe Green counterparts.

Division two: Roytonians 54-2, Littleborough IIIs 53.
Division three: East Lancs PM IIs 83, Saddleworth IIIs 87-1.
Sunday, division three: Roe Green IIIs 114, Greenfield IIIs 117-9.
