LOCAL tennis player Daniel Smethurst and Daniel Evans were beaten in the last 16 of the boys doubles at Wimbledon.
The 17-year-old from Failsworth and his playing partner lost 6-3, 6-4 against Australian pair Matt Reid and Bernard Tomic, the third seeds.
