Rain saves Delph
Date published: 04 August 2008
RAIN saved Delph from probable defeat in premiership one of the Drakes Huddersfield League on Saturday.
They were bowled out for 143 against title rivals Micklehurst — Jamie Haynes (66) and captain Grant Jones (40) added 83 for the fourth wicket — before the heavens opened to wipe out play.
And Delph’s seconds were 134 all out at Armitage Bridge, who were one for no wicket in reply when the rain arrived.
