SCHOOLGIRL boxer Emma Harrison is proving a knockout after winning her first fight.
After losing on points in her debut bout, the 16-year-old from Royton registered a victory in her second match.
Emma, who boxes for Middleton Select, gained a unanimous points verdict against Grace Lovell over three two-minute rounds in Irlam Boxing Academy’s show at Cadishead Recreation Centre.
Emma, who initially worked out at Hamer Amateur Boxing Club, recently left Royton and Crompton School after completing her GCSE exams and will soon start a child-care course at Oldham College.
She spends three nights training in the gym and also runs regularly so her superior fitness was evident in her victory.
