OLDHAM Sports and Community Club is looking to develop its facilities at The Pollards.
Club officials are keen to attract a new partner with the aim of turning an area of unused land it owns into a new pitch. They believe the area would be perfect for hockey or rounders or may be five-a-side football.
By finding a new partner, Oldham Sports and Community Club would hopefully be able to access funding to transform the area into a pitch.
And depending on the size of grants they might even consider an artificial surface.
The Pollards is currently home to Oldham Cricket Club while in the winter the ground is used for lacrosse.
Oldham’s Chris Mayer said: “There is a shortage of pitches in Oldham but we have the land to develop a new one.
“We are offering a sporting club facilities which they can also use as a base for social and fund-raising activities.”
