Saddleworth road race

OLDHAM and Royton Harriers stage their popular six-mile road race, the Frank Hodson Saddleworth Six, around Greenfield next Wednesday (7.30pm).

The race, which starts at Churchill Playing Fields, is again sponsored by RunDirect, a leading retailer of specialist running clothing and footwear, and, as for the last 11 years, by Platt Halpern, solictors in Oldham and Manchester.

Prizes to the value of almost £600 are on offer and there are commemorative souvenirs for all finishers.
