Stars on show at Pollards

OLDHAM Cricket Club is the venue for a star-studded Sri Lanka v Oldham Twenty20 match tomorrow night (5.30).
The Sri Lanka team will be captained by Oldham professional Chinthaka Jayasinge and includes Werneth pro Kaushal Lokuarachchi and former Coppice paid man Sajith Fernando.
Oldham’s team of South Africans, which is likely to be led by ex-Crompton player Gareth Steenkamp, features Pollards overseas amateur Nick Maree, his Werneth and Royton counterparts Nathan Griffin and Simon Harmer, and Heyside’s free-scoring professional Roelof Hugo.
Admission is £3 for adults (under-16s enter free) and the full line-ups are:

CROMPTON under-18s play host to their Werneth counterparts this week in the semi-finals of the Taylor Cup.
The other last-four tie features Middleton at home to Rochdale.
