JACKIE Lees was celebrating after clinching the Lady Captain’s prize at Oldham. She carded 152-22-130 to finish three shots clear of Lynn Kershaw (157-24-133).
The best gross score was recorded by Bev Scholes (156), while the first and second day prizes went to Bev Mercer (80-16-64) and Mary Buckley (83-14-69) respectively.
The subsidiary prize was won by Louise Hoskin.
WERNETH: IN-FORM Fiona Dooley and former Werneth member Ann Fallows (North Manchester) teamed up to win the invitation day four-ball betterball Stableford at Werneth with 41 points.
They finished a point clear of Jane Fletcher and Gill Gibson, of Mere.
Third were the duo Sylvia Haq and Mary Buckley (Oldham) on 39 points on a card play-off from Werneth’s women’s vice-captain Hilda Garner and Elaine Bond, from Manchester.
CROMPTON and ROYTON: PLACES are still available for Crompton and Royton’s mixed open event (two men and two women) on Bank Holiday Monday.
