NIMBLE Nook team-mates Andrew Buckley and Gary Ellis will carry Oldham hopes in the last 64 of the Waterloo Handicap in Blackpool on Saturday (10am).
Buckley takes on Bradford’s Nigel Breadley, while Ellis meets Andrew Moss (Whitchurch) in a clash of former Waterloo champions.
Crown green bowling’s most prestigious competition reaches its conclusion tomorrow week.
Saddleworth’s Margaret Brookes is the only local player through to the last 32 of the Women’s Waterloo, the finals of which will be played on Sunday (10am). She plays Warrington’s Elaine Berry for a place in the last 16.
