Mossley went top of UniBond League first division north last night by defeating FC Halifax Town 3-1 at Seel Park.
Lilywhites manager Chris Willcock described the second-half display as "scintillating" as his in-form team tore the Shaymen to shreds and ought to have won by a wider margin in front of a crowd of 507.
They fell behind after only 25 seconds to a goal from Mossley old-boy Adam Morning but goals from Phil Charnock and two from Mike Fish (1pen) saw Mossley make it five wins out of six.
