Professionals return home

MONTON and Weaste, Norden, Littleborough and Walsden are without professionals for their last games of the season on Sunday.
Monton’s Brendon Nash has been called up by the West Indies, who are preparing for a tour of Canada.
Norden’s Jean Symes has been recalled by his franchise team in South Africa, Littleborough’s Kamran Hussain has been summoned to a training squad in Pakistan, and Walsden’s Janaka Gunaratne has been advised to leave early because of a problem with his work permit.
FORMER Yorkshire and England wicketkeeper Richard Blakey will be the guest speaker at the CLL’s annual dinner and presentation at Rochdale Cricket Club on Friday, November 14.
