Hollinwood rue missed chances
Date published: 18 September 2008
A SERIES of scoring opportunities went begging as Hollinwood went down to a second home defeat in division four.
Dudley Hill 'A' came away from their trip to Fields New Road with a 26-10 victory despite looking out on their feet at times during the second half.
However, the home team missed several scoring chances through the game and were their own worst enemy at times, gave away a string of penalties.
Rob Penswick notched his first try for the club to leave Hollinwood trailing 10-4 at half-time.
Chris Mitchell then finished off a good passing move to claim another try, converted by Mike Richmond.
At that stage, it looked like the home side would run away with it — only for Dudley Hill to run in three more tries.
Mick Wilson took the man-of-the-match award, with John Byron and Alistair Williams just behind him.
