Bridge too far for Club

BRIDGE started their Ashton Sunday League premier division season in style with six of the best.
With goals from Neil Walsh (two), Mike King, Mick Fleming, Lee Cumpsty and Pete Kessell, they brushed aside Moston Labour Club 6-1.
In division one, Wellington and Home Guard shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw while Manor, inspired by Keith Melvin’s hat-trick, recorded a 4-3 win at Anglers.
Rob Brierley also bagged a treble as Falconers overcame Springbank 3-1 in an all-Ashton Sunday League tie in the Manchester County FA Sunday Cup.
