Ellis makes it a double

GARY Ellis followed up his Waterloo Handicap triumph by clinching the £800 top prize in the Brownedge Classic at Bamber Bridge, near Preston.
Ellis, the Tonge and Nimble Nook star, defeated Oldham’s Graeme Wilson 31-30 in a semi-final thriller. And he followed up with a 31-17 final success against Radcliffe’s Paul Dudley.
Ellis continued his sparkling form by winning three 31-up qualifying rounds in the George Masters at Birmingham and clinching three 21-up successes in the Whaley Bridge Open.
