HOST club Oldham won the inaugural floodlit Twenty20 tournament at the Pollards when they defeated Bamford by eight wickets in the final.
Bamford batted first and made 128 for seven, Lincoln Roberts hitting 33 and Liam Garnett taking three for 27.
In reply, Oldham were 16 for two after four overs, but a magnificent unbeaten partnership of 118 in 14 overs from Chris McDonnell (46) and Nick Maree (50) steered them to victory.
In the semi-finals, Oldham (141 for seven) beat the President’s X1 (127 for six), while Bamford (126 for six) saw off Crompton (73 all out).
Friday’s benefit match, in which Oldham’s “Young Lions” beat the “Legends”, raised £300 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
