No win for Hollinwood
Date published: 25 September 2008
HOLLINWOOD are still searching for a first win of the season, after going down 27-20 at Stainland Stags in Pennine League division four.
John Kenway got the first try, before Stainland's converted effort snatched away the lead.
Alistair Williams scored, converted by Mike Richmond, to put Hollinwood back in front.
Two tries for the home team were answered by Pete Jackson's effort, to leave 'Wood trailing 16-14 at half-time.
Hollinwood — whose man-of-the-match was Ian Hunt — asserted control and went back in front when John Kenway crossed and kicked the goal.
But the home side levelled things and edged in front with a drop-goal, before a late converted try sealed it.
