Dynamos break duck

FAILSWORTH Dynamos recorded their first win in the Lancashire Amateur League premier division at the fourth attempt.
After taking one point from their opening three games, Dynamos opened their account in style, sweeping aside Bolton Lads Club 5–1. Jamie Royle (two), Lee Ashton, Tom Stuttard and Liam Stuttard got the goals.
But Chaddertonians are still searching for their first league success of the season after they went down 3-1 to Bolton Wyresdale.
In division one, Chadds reserves drew 1-1 against their Old Blackburnians counterparts, while the ‘A’ team overcame Howe Bridge Mills reserves 4-2 in division four.
Oldham Hulmeians bowed out of the Lancashire Amateur Cup at the first hurdle, losing 4-1 at home to Highgrove. Danny Tate found the net for the local side.
Meanwhile, Rob Christie scored the only goal in the reserves’ slender victory over Hesketh Casuals ‘B’ in division six.
But the third XI lost 3-2 at Chaddertonians ‘B’ in division seven, with Danny Smith and Joe Proffitt on the mark for the visitors.
In the same division, Hulmeians ‘B’ suffered a 5-1 defeat against Broughton Amateurs ‘B’. Jonathan Hardisty scored the consolation.
