SADDLEWORTH’S Sonia Dunn was the winner of the Oldham Ladies’ Golf Association past-captain’s event which was held at Werneth.
She scored 27 points in the 13-hole Stableford, five clear of runner-up Joan Swindells from the host club who was second on the card from Margaret Butterworth (Crompton and Royton), Hazel Rogerson (Saddleworth) and Ann Lees (Oldham).
Sheila Whittingham emerged the victor in the LGU medal pendant at WERNETH after a round of 95-22-73.
The first division sweep went to Sheila Waterhouse (102-28-74) from Joan Swindells (96-21-75).
Tied for the second division sweep were Pauline Day and Dee Whittingham who both had identical returns of 116-34-82.
SADDLEWORTH’S Australian Spoons Foursomes were won by Barbara Shuttleworth and Julie Ward with 41 points, four clear of second-placed Jean Barnes and Deborah Mooney.
