Ashton Sunday League
WARWICK United are up and running in the Ashton Sunday League.
After a defeat and a draw in the premier division, they posted their first win of the season, 3-0 against Springbank.
Paul Dunks scored twice and Martin Chapman got the other for United.
Halfway House, inspired by defender Eddie Crossley’s hat-trick, maintained their 100-per-cent record with a 5-2 win over Bridge.
Alex Dodds and John Parkinson added to House’s tally, while Neil Walsh and Mike King replied.
Ryan Rafferty and Gareth Cardwell scored two apiece for Dog and Partridge — Shahid Hanif got the other — in a thrilling 5-4 defeat of Anglers in division one.
Charlestown won 4-2 at Falconers, thanks to goals from Dave West, Kevin Beacon, Wesley Ellison and Brian Leckie. Rob Brearley replied with a brace.
And Chris Cooper scored the consolation for Manor, who were beaten 2-1 by Wellington.
