Oldham Sunday League
FITTON Hill, leaders of David Giblin division one, are one of only two teams who can boast 100-per-cent records in the D&J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League.
They made it five wins out of five with a 4-1 defeat of Crompton and Royton and remain five points clear of Khartoum Northern, who swept aside Wellington ‘A’ 8-1.
FC Broadgate, who also hold an unblemished record, were without a fixture, but Red Star were among the other goals against White Hart, putting 13 past their luckless opponents.
Royton FC and Chaddy End FC remain locked together at the top of the Jack Abbott premier division.
Royton FC were awarded a 1-0 win against Hunt Lane, failed to fulfil the fixture, while Chaddy End defeated Failsworth Athletic 3-1. See John Gilder’s Match of the Day.
Failsworth Dynamos are up to fifth thanks to a 5-3 win at home to AFC Church. Luke Mack helped himself to a hat-trick for Dynamos.
Lowerhouse United were too strong for Avro under-19s, Nathan Eastmond scoring five of the goals in the 9-3 romp.
Rifle Range Royal Blues continue to set the pace in division two after an 8-3 defeat of Waggon and Horses.
But a 6-3 triumph over Royton Cons kept Marvin Greenwood FC in touching distance.
There are three teams — Steven Caine FC, Limeside Athletic and Wellington ‘B’ — hot on their heels.
Limeside got the better of North Star 3-1, while Wellington ‘B’ were 6-3 winners at Old Grey Mare.
