Tonge take fourth place

TONGE clinched fourth place in the Manchester Premier League with a 10 points to 4.5 home victory over Richmond, from Liverpool.

It was their final game of the season and they had seven winners on the night.

They were Mark Dwayre (21-17), Jim Derby (21-18), Matt Gillies (21-17), Colin Lane (21-7), Nick Brooks (21-15), Darren Griffiths (21-19) and Gary Ellis (21-8).


THE weekly Saddleworth BC winter bowling competitions have been switched to Hurst Band Club in Ashton.

Competitions will be held every Sunday morning, enter on green, strike-out 10.30, starting on October 19.
