Mossley in stirring fightback

MOSSLEY produced a fantastic fightback to draw 2-2 at home to Bamber Bridge in last night’s top-of-the-table clash in UniBond League first division north, writes TONY BUGBY.
It looked as though the fifth-placed Lilywhites were in for a torrid time as Sean O’Neil punished a depleted defence by scoring twice for high-flying Bamber in the opening 14 minutes.
But by half time Mossley, with Danny Self making his debut on the right of midfield after signing yesterday from FC United, were back on level terms after a great comeback and goals from Danny Dignan, a terrific diving header, and a 14th goal of the campaign for Mike Fish.
Meanwhile, Oldham Town have been drawn away to Bootle in round two of the FA Vase. The tie will take place on Saturday, November 15.
