Joy and pain . . .

MOSSLEY manager Chris Willcock sustained a bizarre and painful injury as he celebrated at the end of last night’s President’s Cup tie win over Radcliffe Borough.
Willcock dislocated his shoulder after putting his arm round a player at the final whistle, at the same time as another player bumped into him.
Physio Robin Jones eventually managed to manoeuvre his shoulder back into its socket after a lengthy spell in the treatment room.
Mossley gave a debut to keeper Andy Robertson last night after signing him from Ramsbottom United to replace non-contract Liam Higginbotham, who has left after receiving a better offer from New Mills.
Egan fires late winner
SUPER-SUB Danny Egan fired Mossley to a 2-1 home victory against Radcliffe Borough in the second round of the UniBond League President’s Cup, writes Tony Bugby.
It was the third time this season Egan, an 18-year-old released by Macclesfield Town last summer, had scored after being introduced from the bench.
After Radcliffe’s Steve Howson miss a penalty, the visitors did take the lead after 46 minutes when Howson atoned.
Lee Blackshaw’s deflected free kick brought Mossley level before Egan netted 12 minutes from time.
CHADDERTON’S fixture at Darwen in division one of the Vodkat North-West Counties League was washed out.
