Tame’s convincing win

TAME VALLEY’S first team was in sparkling form, defeating Fairways Lodge seconds 4-1 in division two central of the JJB North West Counties Squash League.

The highlight of the victory was Dave Swallow’s magnificent 3-1 victory over Egyptian Moussa Helal, a former top professional player.

Swallow was well supported by Jamie Maddox, Amir Manachouri and Mike Potter.

The second and third teams both won in division four east. Wayne Smith, Steve Buxton and Steve Ivell helped the seconds beat Fairways Lodge 3-2.

The thirds recorded a 4-1 win against Village Hyde thirds through Graham Hall, Andrew Bailey, Eric and Richard Buchannan.

The fourth team made it three 5-0 victories in a row as they demolished Total Fitness firsts through Rod Humphries, Fiona Heston, Mark Gartside, Derek Leyland and Eric Mowinski.
