TONY Mills faces a hefty mobile telephone bill after being forced to miss Oldham Town’s trip to Norton United tomorrow in Vodkat North-West Counties League, division one.

The Town manager is working in Wales so he will leave his backroom staff to take temporary charge of the team.

Town will be looking to complete a hat-trick of wins in Staffordshire after being successful on their last two visits to Norton, last season by an impressive 5-0 margin.

Norton are in mid-table and Mills anticipates a tough match as his side, on the fringe of the promotion pack, aims to keep the pressure on the leading teams.

CHADDERTON are at home to first division high-flyers Cheadle Town.

The Broadway club’s encouraging start to the campaign continued last Saturday with a 5-0 victory at Daisy Hill in the First Division Trophy.

Manager Paul Buckley hopes to have Ian Knapman back after injury while John Cregan, who has a groin strain, has a 50-50 chance of playing.

Captain Mark Egerton, Tony Hanlon and Louis Maynard are definitely out, while Donovan Greenidge is struggling with a groin strain.

Chadderton reserves travel to AFC Fylde tomorrow.

MOSSLEY manager Chris Willcock is relishing tomorrow’s home clash against Newcastle Blue Star in UniBond League, first division north.

The match features two teams in the play-off places and Willcock said: “By all accounts Blue Star and Durham City are the big hitters in our league, having spent a lot of money this season.

“They come with a big reputation and it will be a good gauge as to where we are.”

Willcock was satisfied with a draw at Chorley last Saturday, bearing in mind his squad had been badly affected by a virus which swept through the club.

Mossley have signed utility player Andy Markhams (27) from Harrogate Railway. He has previously played Conference football for Boston United.
