WATERLOO and Taunton moved above Hopwood in the ‘A’ division of the Inbev Winter Bowls League at Chadderton Cot when they beat their fellow title hopefuls 8-3.
Leaders Royle were made to fight all the way before securing a 7-4 victory over New Street, while Radcliffe sneaked the aggregate against Springbank to register a 6-5 success.
Tonge returned from their week off in the ‘B’ division to beat improving Dogwood 7-4.
Seven players scored 17 in the Prestwich v Vixens fixture but, unfortunately for the latter, that figure was achieved by six of their representatives as they lost 10-1.
Nimble Nook beat Failsworth 9-2, but the two points were enough for Failsworth to move off the bottom.
