DEREK HUDSON and Jim Wild could not be separated in the Cranberry AC match on the riverside bank of Fleets Dam.
The pair tipped the scales at 7lb apiece, with Hudson using the long pole, caster, maggot and pinkie approach to net skimmers, perch and roach.
Wild opted for pellet, caster and maggot on the hook for a similar bag.
Tony Lees, in third, weighed in a level 6lb of skimmers and roach on pole-fished maggot and caster.
Steve Orr’s 5lb net was made up entirely of roach on maggot and pinkie at 11 metres.
Chris Bold was next-best with a 3lb mixed catch on the short pole, maggot and caster.
GEORGE Colbran claimed top spot in the Pennine Winter League match on the Huddersfield Broad Canal.
Two chub and several roach were attracted to his trusty caster for 7lb 2oz.
