Moss Inn move clear as rivals are held

MOSS INN have extended their lead at the top of the Oldham Amateur Snooker League to two points by winning 4-2 against Little Cot ‘A’ while their nearest rivals North Chadd drew 3-3.

Moss raced into a 3-0 lead against Cot before a 34 break by Danny Balcerzak in the fourth frame put the brakes on. M Healy then won the last frame for Cot.

Royton Band remain well placed in third, three points off the lead, and both Moss Inn and North Chadd are yet to have their open date in this first half of the season.

Passenger Transport were on fire, recording a complete 6-0, 4-0 whitewash at home to Blue Club ‘B’.

There were also whitewashes as CBC played host to Springbank ‘B’. CBC took the spoils on the green baize 6-0, but Springbank ‘B’ took revenge at the card table with a 4-0 victory.

Nimble Nook have had their lead at the top of the card table cut to two points. With Nimble losing their cards 3-1 away to Springbank ‘A’, Oldham Cricket could have caught them. However, the Pollards side only managed a 2-2 draw.
