Town ease through to round three

SECOND-HALF goals from Damian Schofield and Tom Hughes clinched a 2–0 win for Oldham Town at Leek CSOB in round two of the Vodkat Challenge Cup last night.
Hughes had a penalty saved in the opening period, but made up for the miss when he slammed the ball home from a Lee Neville corner nine minutes from time.
Town, who lost Matty Landregan to a leg injury after half-an-hour, went ahead in the 67th-minute through Schofield’s header from a Hughes free-kick.
Tony Mills’ side will meet Stone Dominoes in round three.
