HEYSIDE Angels under-14s have joined R.O.C.S FC at the top of the Oldham Girls League table.
The two teams are tied on 18 points after Angels brushed aside Rochdale 4-1.
Rheema Mears, Beth Coburn, Katie Jones and Elysia Broome were the Heyside scorers.
Under-13s Clarets had Kelly Ward (two), Beth Mellor (two), Sarah Hardman and Shannon Ryan on the mark in a 6-1 defeat of Uppermill Rockettes, who wasted a host of chances.
Jayme Butler-Jones scored the consolation goal for Rockettes after Heyside had completed their tally.
Leoni Harland scored for under-12s Inter, who drew 1-1 with Denton Town, while goals from Natalie Giblin (two) and Ashleigh Dickenson helped the Clarets team to a 3-1 win over Chadderton Park.
In the under-11s section, Inter were held to a 1-1 draw by Uppermill Rockettes — Jade Hughes scored for Heyside — but the Clarets were comfortable 4-0 winners over Harpurhey United, thanks to a Ella Milovanovic hat-trick and an Ashleigh Wylie effort.
o THERE were mixed fortunes for Oldham Athletic Girls.
The under-11s were beaten 1-0 by Curzon Ashton but the under-12s, with Ashleigh Spragg scoring four of the goals, overcame Mossley Juniors 6-2. Abby Bennett and Emily Vale got the others.
A Keeley Scott strike was in vain as the under-13s lost 5-1 to Curzon Ashton and the under-16s went down 5-0 to Uppermill Rockettes, who were three goals to the good at the break.
Lucy Hurst, Becki Hall, Ellie Stanford, Jenny Irwin and Kim Buckley did the damage.
But the Athletic under-14s, with Fuzzy Ahmed helping herself to a hat-trick and Vicky Connor and Keisha Harvey getting the others, enjoyed a 5-2 win over Uppermill Rockettes.
o SARAH Ryan and Amy Ginty grabbed two goals apiece as R.O.C.S FC under-16s posted a 4-2 win over Heyside Clarets, for whom Blossom Halkyard and Lily Prince replied.
Amy Jones went nap, Lauren Steel and Megan Jackson notched hat-tricks and Danielle Pickett doubled up as the under-14s put 16 past Meltham Athletic with no reply.
Anna Moorhouse, Georgia Nutter and Georgia Flynn got the other goals.
