YOUTH FOOTBALL
BIRTHDAY boy Matt McGladdery made his mark for Chaddy Hoppers under-13s Blue in the North Bury Junior League.
The young hot-shot hit a hat-trick as his side defeated Summerseat 11-1 in the cup.
Dane Mansfield also scored three times, Luke Addshead got two, and there was one apiece for Sean Taylor, Lewis Garnett-Allen and Nathan Quinlan, in his first match after returning to the club.
It was a case of deja vu for under-13s Red.
A week after wasting a narrow half-time lead against Middleton Colts — they lost 4-3 in the end — they squandered a 2-1 advantage at Elton and Walshaw Jaguars in the cup.
Blaine Biggs, Martin Kenny and Joe Gill scored for Hoppers, who were upset after Elton’s winning goal was allowed to stand despite vociferous appeals for offside.
Under-11s Blue served up a 6-1 win over Westbury Falcons.
George Belcher and Harry Gratton-Smith scored two each, while Luke O’Reilly and Adam Newton got the others.
Connor Stott scored the consolation for under-12s Blue, who went down 3-1 to a clinical CMB side.
And the Reds, who struck first through Josh O’Donnell, took their foot off the pedal as they lost 3-1 to Middleton Colts.
o JOSH Marsden, Ben Chrimes and James Taylor got the goals as Heyside JFC under-14s defeated Radcliffe Borough 3-1.

Tameside and District Junior League
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-15s march on at the top of the Tameside and District Junior League table.
They maintained their 100-per-cent record after goals from Tom Shaw and Michael Clune sealed a 2-1 win at Abraham Moss Warriors.
o A MATTHEW Walls hat-trick clinched a share of the spoils for Heyside JFC under-11s.
The sharp-shooter scored all three goals in a 3-3 draw with Chadderton FC Juniors.
o EFFORTS from Adam Nuttall (two) and Mitch Oakley were to no avail as Moorside Juniors under-16s went down 5-3 at Ridgehill Celtic.
o SEAN Murray (two), Aaron Rogers and Luke Midgley were on the mark for 3D Dynamos under-11s ‘M’ in a 4-2 defeat of Dukinfield Tigers, while a goal from Alex Milovanovic earned a 1-1 draw for 3D under-12s ‘T’ against Heyside Juniors.
The under-16s had Joe Rowland, Ole Harris and Joel Longmore on target in a 3-1 win over Moston Valley.
Tameside Sunday League
UPPERMILL FC under-15s are in the hunt for top honours in the Tameside Sunday League.
They picked up a point in their latest clash, drawing 2-2 with Manchester Maccabi. Luke Butler and Liam White got the Uppermill goals.
Jamie Kilburn scored the consolation goal as the under-14s succumbed 8-1 to Harpurhey United.
o HEYSIDE Juniors under-13s, with Corey Eastmund, Matthew Whitehead and Connor Oxendale on the mark, overcame Wythenshawe 3-1.
o SHAUN Freeman and Adam Hardman got the goals for Failsworth Dynamos under-14s in a 2-0 defeat of Dukinfield Youth.
o CHADDY End FC under-14s were beaten 3-0 by Moston Juniors ‘A’.
o DANNY Larkin and Ryan Mawdsley scored the consolation goals as Boundary Park Juniors under-15s were beaten 6-2 by Manchester Youth.
Rochdale and Oldham Youth League
CHADDY End FC enjoyed a profitable weekend in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League.
Sam Haran (three), Thomas Maloney (two), Ryan Mason and Luke Hadfield scored for the under-12s, who were made it eight wins out of eight with a 7-2 success over Crompton Villa.
Lewis Wood and Josh Croll replied for Villa, who tasted defeat for the first time in six games.
The under-14s, with Callum Maznyczenko (two), Matthew Crothers and Jack Griffin getting the goals, swept aside Rochdale St Clements 4-1.
And the under-15s reached round two of the League Cup after a 5-0 defeat of Heyside Juniors.
Aiden Ball (two), Curtis Ingham, Chase Harrison and Tom Proctor scored for Chaddy End, who were leading 2-0 at the break.
o CHADDERTON FC under-16s had Matthew Goulding (two), Bradley Humphreys (two), James Tulley and Will Shoel on the scoresheet in a 6-0 defeat of Chadderton Park 0 in the Knock-out Cup.
o FAILSWORTH Dynamos under-16s are through to the next round of the League Cup after goals from Jack Turnbull (two) and Curtis Grant clinched a 3-2 win over Northside.
But the under-15s succumbed 10-1 to Broadway Celtic. Richard Dafe scored the consolation.

ADAM Nuttall and Michael Tierney hit the target as Moorside Juniors under-16s pocketed the points thanks to a 2-0 defeat of 147 Breaks.
