Entwistle makes a splash

SWIMMING

HARRY Entwistle came away with the top-boy award for Oldham Aquatics in the Wirral Open Meet at Birkenhead.

Harry won gold medals in the 13-years 50m and 100m freestyle, silver in the 200m individual medley and bronzes in the 200m and 400m freestyle.

Jessica Lloyd collected a silver in the 200m backstroke and a bronze in the 400m IM in the same age group.

Samantha Garlick was second in the 14-years 200m breaststroke while sister Vicki finished third in the 400m freestyle. Charlotte Goode won bronze in the 50m freestyle, as did Sophie Kenny in the 200m butterfly.

Adam Shipp was a double gold-medal winner in the 15-years 200m and 400m freestyle while brother Matt picked up silver in the 400m freestyle and a bronze in the 200m.

In the same age group, George Harrington took the bronze in the 200m butterfly.

Olivia Askew collected an incredible six silver medals for Aquatics in the Harrogate Junior Open Meet in the 10-years age group.

She was runner-up in the 200m and 400m IM, 200m and 400m freestyle, 200m butterfly and 200m backstroke.

John Rhodes struck gold in the 12-years 200m freestyle, adding a silver in the 400m IM and bronze in the 200m butterfly.

James Salt, swimming in the same age group, collected a bronze in the 200m breaststroke.

Rhiannon Prestage won a silver in the 12-years 200m backstroke, adding a bronze in the 400m IM.
