HOLLINWOOD failed to live up to the levels set in last week's victory over Selby, paying the price against Drighlington 'A' in division four.
Ultimately, the home team have only themselves to blame for a 30-26 home defeat. Ahead late on in this closely-fought game, all Hollinwood had to do was hold onto the ball and play out time.
Instead, in trying to throw the ball around they made a costly error, losing the ball to the visitors who went in for a match-winning converted try.
Pete Jackson opened the scoring for Hollinwood, before Nick Hartley and Alistair Williams crossed for a pair each.
Goals came from Paul Brooks (two) and Hartley.
John Byram was voted man-of-the-match with Williams and Jackson close behind, in a game that could and should have been won.
