Four-try Forsyth stars

NEIL FORSYTH was the four-try hero as Oldham Rugby Union Vets recorded a 35-15 win at North Manchester 2nds.
Forsyth crossed the line three times in the opening half which, together with a Rick Brierley penalty, put Oldham in control.
Mike Royston scored a breakaway fourth try for Oldham before Manchester responded with three tries of their own.
Forsyth then crossed for his fourth try before winger Sam Horsfall showed strength and determination to crash over for Oldham’s fifth, goaled by Alan Pierre.
Oldham’s much-weakened third team crashed to a 52-0 defeat at Ashton-on-Mersey, where the hosts used a large number of second-team players for this Halbro Cup tie.
Despite the best efforts of Matty Collins and Jordan McEwan, Oldham were comprehensively beaten.
The Colts lost 17-10 at Widnes despite tries from Michael Ward and Michael Collinge.
