Greenfield 2 move into contention

THERE was no change at the top of the Saddleworth Snooker league this week, but Greenfield 2 swopped places with Yorkshire Ward 1, beating them 5-1 with R Downend on top form.

The low handicappers of Greenfield 1 now prop up the league with S Bramwell (47 break) and R Cotton the only winners for them.

The other high break of the week was R Kershaw, who again defied his low handicap with a 54 break and convincing win.

In the darts league, Mossley still lead the way and the impressive P Shepley had a 12-dart finish.
