RU men look for follow-up success
Date published: 05 December 2008
OLDHAM RUFC will be looking for victory at Aldwinians tomorrow (2.15pm) to claw their way further clear of the relegation places in North Lancs/Cumbria division.
Last Saturday’s splendid victory at home to Tyldesley, who were second, lifted the Manor Park side out of the drop zone.
And with Aldwinians also on three league victories, it gives Oldham the chance to put some daylight between the two teams.
There is further cheer as Oldham will for once be able to field a settled side with only one change from last Saturday.
Pack man Joe Hesse is unavailable as Jack Taylor steps up to take his place.
Oldham’s pack, and in particular Steve Molloy and Rob Fryer, stood out against Tyldesley when they ensured a good supply of ball to the backs.
