GLODWICK have reclaimed the lead in the first division of the Oldham Table Tennis League.

Strengthened by Michael Moir, they have won their last three matches, amassing 28 points in the process, to give them a three-point lead over OTTC A who just beat Hollinwood B 6-4.

BAE B’s 7-3 win against Hyde YM was dominated by the Hill brothers, Kevin and Mick, with three wins each.

Werneth C have joined Hollinwood C at the top of the second division after beating Failsworth A 7-3.

Hollinwood B suffered their first defeat of the season, going down 7-3 to Hyde YM B who won five of the games in the fifth.

Brian Higgins maintained his good form for Honeywell B, registering his fifth maximum in a row as they beat Hollinwood D 8-2 to take third place.

Honeywell D are running away with things in the third division, opening up a 16-point lead, mainly due to Ken Dunkerley, with a 93-per-cent average, backed by Alan Wynn and Derek Naylor.

Gilders Tackle managed a draw at Coldhurst B, Martin Nichols (3) and Gerry Lees (2) playing key roles.

Four clubs are in close contention at the top of the fourth division, separated by only three points.

Natalie Dodd, who has played in all 13 matches for OTTC C, is the only remaining player in the league with a 100-per-cent record, while a 9-1 win for Owls B against Honeywell F makes them the only unbeaten team in the league.

John Brightman has returned to strengthen Deaf Club B and won three to help force a draw against Unison D.
