Phoenix Edinburgh victory
Date published: 12 December 2008
Manchester Phoenix beat Edinburgh Capitals 4-3 last night in a tussle that went right to the wire.
In front of a sparse crowd in Altrincham, the home side raced to a 3-0 lead with goals from Luke Fulghum, Nathan Ward and Bruce Mulherin before they were pegged back to 3–2.
However, David Beauregard’s 33rd goal of the season eased tension, despite Capitals pulling one back late on.
Manchester finish a busy period when they travel to Coventry tomorrow (7pm) before returning home, on Sunday, to face Basingstoke (5.30pm).
