Play-off needed in Stableford

PAUL Pattinson and Mick Jones won a three-way card play-off which determined top spot in a four-ball betterball Stableford at OLDHAM Golf Club.
They amassed 49 points which was the same score as runners-up Steve Rae and Peter Dockerty, as well as Dave and Mick Ganley who were third.
STAMFORD also beat the weather, holding two weekend competitions.
The 12-hole Christmas competition, a greensome medal, was won by Dave Halliday and Colin Kershaw with nett 40 from runners-up Phil Nokes and Darryl Sowerby (40.8).
Mike Dean and Jack Fraser triumphed in a 12-hole four-ball betterball Stableford after amassing 34 points.
Runners-up were Paul Sandiford and Glyn Andrew (33pts) after a three- way card play-off.
