A Turkey competition at Saddleworth was won, on the card, by Frank Pullen and Peter Beswick. They had 48 points, as did Kevin Rafferty and Eddie Hall (2nd) and David Pullen and Martin Orme (3rd).
The four-man team of Mark Sinfield, Steve Oldham, Richard Flynn and Steve Sharrocks celebrated the order of merit title at Crompton and Royton.
Their 79-point total in the seven-eighths handicap was enough to see off second-placed Stuart Hopkinson, Robert Hopkinson, Tony Sutherland and Terry O’Connor (78) and Tom O’Leary, Ryan O’Leary, Chris Calow and Jack Bottomley-Clift in third (77).
