Stamford Stableford success

A THREE-man team Stableford at Stamford was won by Vince Whelan, Frank Connolly and Andy Lumley who amassed 62 points.
They finished one point clear of Darren Chambers, Gary Ormerod and Dave Aikenhead.
Stamford also held a three-man 12-hole Texas Scramble with Steve Tither, Anthony Bowden and Bert Ashton the victors with a score of 37.
Runners up were Graham Barber, Mark Crowdy and Alan Hartle whose return was 38.
