LUKE HARGREAVES has been banned from playing in the D&J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League for 56 days.
The Parkside midfielder was found to have acted in an improper manner during the David Giblin division one match against Westwood. He was fined £50.
Hargreaves’ suspension started on December 15 and will end on February 8, after which he will have to appear before the league committee to reapply for his registration.
The Manchester County FA also found Parkside guilty of failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion. They were warned to their future conduct and were also asked to pay a £50 fine.
The game, on Coalshaw Green Park, was held up for 20 minutes after players from Parkside took down the nets.
The incident occurred at the end of the first half after Parkside had their third player sent off by referee Charles Baldwin. The score was 2-2 at the time.
A chat between the match official and both sides eventually saw the game restart, with Westwood going on to win 4-3.
