CBC open up lead at top

CBC have moved two points clear at the top of the Oldham Amateur Snooker League thanks to a 5-1 victory over Nimble Nook.

A 4-2 win for Moss Inn puts them into second place, closely followed by Deaf B, despite them going down 4-2 at home to Oldham Town.

A 31 break by Steve Bramwell of Oldham Cricket was enough to take his frame as Cricket recorded a fine 5-1 victory at Springbank B.

Breaks of 38 from D Reece and 36 from M J Smith were enough to take their respective frames for Deaf B. However, Oldham Town took the remaining frames to record a battling 4-2 victory.

Nimble Nook remain well clear in the card league after recording a 3-1 victory against CBC. Oldham Town are sole possession of second place with Oldham Cricket close on their heels, just one point behind.

Double success boosts Cricket title chances

CRICKET B boosted their hopes of retaining the Saw-Tech Shaw Snooker League title by beating second-placed Comrades B 5-1 and then Royton Cons B 4-2, despite a fine 56 break from Royton’s C North.
