OLDHAM TOWN will tonight be aiming to turn the tables on FA Cup giantkillers Curzon Ashton.

Town play hosts to the UniBond League division one north side in the quarter-finals of the Manchester Premier Cup.

And it will be a big ask for Town as they are playing opponents from two divisions higher in the footballing pyramid.

Curzon know what it is like to be giantkillers as earlier this season they defeated League Two side Exeter City in the first round of the FA Cup.

Town manager Tony Mills is planning to make changes after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Irlam in the first division of the Vodkat North West Counties League.

Mills could soon lose Matt Landregan after receiving an approach from UniBond League division one north side Salford City for the striker.

MOSSLEY hope to avoid a banana skin at Maine Road tonight, also in the quarter-finals of the Manchester Premier Cup.

The UniBond League division one north Lilywhites take on opponents from the premier division of the Vodkat NWCL.

Mossley manager Chris Willcock frustrated by Saturday’s 1-1 home draw against second-placed Lancaster City when his side had enough chances to have won. However, he does not plan many changes.

Meanwhile, Mossley have been drawn at home to UniBond League division one south leaders Retford United in the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup.

The tie takes place on Saturday, February 7.

CHADDERTON’S home game with Bootle last night in the quarter-finals of the Vodkat North West Counties League First Division Trophy was postponed due to the bad weather.
