GRANDFATHER and grandson Derek and Lee Conway are leading the race to win Crompton and Royton Golf Club’s Winter League.
After five of the nine events, the pair are joint top on 24 points.
The latest event, a team Stableford, was won by Andy Allen, Steve Bower, Dave Holme and John Haigh, who scored 85 points.
Runners-up with 84 were Peter Boggiano, David Whitworth, and Lee and Derek Conway.
Third place went to Jordan and Mick Flint, George Shepherd and Chris Clark with 79 points.
ANDREW Nolan, Kevin Mayers and Lee Gladrey won a 12-hole Texas scramble at Stamford with a score of nett 38.
They finished two shots clear of Kevin and Tony Brown and Bob Irving.
