OLDHAM town team darts player Neil Hunter is the new Manchester Log End champion.
Hunter collected a cheque for £300 after triumphing in the champion-of-champions event at Moston Social Club.
All the individual knockout winners from the various log end leagues gathered for the tournament.
Hunter, the South Manchester League champion, progressed through four matches to win through to the last eight where he defeated Anthony Hornby, the Failsworth League champion.
Stalybridge League winner Graham Scowcroft was overcome in the semi-finals to set up a final date against Mark Holden, a former Oldham town-team player, who was the Middleton League’s top man.
Hunter defeated Holden, who originated from Fitton Hill, 3-1 in the final.
