CHADDERTON’S game at Darwen tomorrow in the first division of the Vodkat North-West Counties League has been given the go-ahead thanks to a High Court ruling in London.

Darwen, a former Football League club who reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1881, have won breathing space from a winding-up order.

The hearing was adjourned after Darwen contested the petition which involves a £9,000 debt.

Chadderton, without a win in six league games, will again be without injured ’keeper Lee Swanson, while central defender Tony Hanlon is working.

Chadderton reserves entertain Atherton LR.

OLDHAM Town entertain promotion rivals Wigan Robin Park.

Fifth-placed Town are four points behind Park, but have two games in hand on the team immediately above them.

Town goalkeeper Matty Blair looks set to miss out again with his hand injury.

MOSSLEY will take a weakened team to Newcastle Blue Star for tomorrow’s UniBond League, division one north fixture.

Manager Chris Willcock is again without key players as captain Graham Kay, Daryl Weston and Chris Hirst are all injured, top scorer Mike Fish is a doubt with a foot problem and Ryan Cook could be working.

Willcock has reinforced his depleted squad with the capture of midfield player Matty Kay from Salford City.

Kay found the net for Mossley last Saturday when they beat Glossop 2-0 in a hastily-arranged friendly on the artificial surface at Wright Robinson Sports College.
